In a Multi-Skill World: How kids Find Their Direction

In May 2026, Y Foundation hosted a Youth Growth & Arts Inspiration event in Richmond, bringing together students, parents, and community members for an engaging discussion on youth development and the role of the arts in personal growth.

The event featured guest speakers including Li Feng from NPC College, Ken Hsieh, conductor of the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, and Grace Qi, professional host, who shared their experiences and insights with attendees.

The session explored key topics such as discovering and developing personal interests, balancing academics with artistic pursuits, building confidence and communication skills, and the importance of family support in a child’s growth.

Through real-life stories and practical advice, the event encouraged students to reflect on their future possibilities and inspired families to support youth as they explore their talents, passions, and goals.
