The 2025–2026 “Melodies in Motion” Youth Music Competition, hosted by The Y Foundation was grandly held on December 12, 2025, at the Tom Lee Music MEC Hall in downtown Vancouver.

The competition aims to provide a professional, high-caliber performance platform for local youth, encouraging them to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and pursue excellence through their musical studies and personal growth.

This year’s competition attracted more than 20 outstanding young musicians from across the Greater Vancouver area. The repertoire spanned multiple musical periods, including Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th-century modern works. Performances primarily featured concerto movements for piano, violin, cello, and flute. With a high overall standard and diverse styles, the event showcased the comprehensive musical abilities of today’s emerging young talents.
